I always think about Lucanis saying to Rook in the pie scene in Neve's room where he and Neve start their relationship, "Spite thought I should talk to her. Well, not just Spite." because, like, two things:

a) The fact that Spite has been urging Lucanis to talk to Neve about his feelings for her is incredible.

It's not at all a surprise that Spite is aware of those feelings given how Spite describes the emotions attached to her in Inner Demons, if Lucanis has fallen in love with Neve, "Stomach-churning excitement. Dread with a hint of hope. A long way to fall." (Easy to presume these sentiments are still flying around in his mind even when you can't see them in a fallen Treviso run.) But, Spite doesn't understand a lot of things about mortal living, and struggles to grasp why Lucanis feels certain ways or why he's processing his emotions in the ways he does.

So, it's very fun he's pushing Lucanis to act on his feelings and talk to her. Does Spite entirely understand what's going on there? Unclear. But he's also Determination, and he's very determined to get Lucanis to talk to the woman he's in love with and have what he wants. Imagine THAT conversation, Spite telling Lucanis to talk to Neve.

b) "Well, not just Spite." Lucanis, I need you to tell us who else has been pushing you to talk to Neve. Drop the names.
